Ms. Lauren O'Donnell - Director of Bands
Ms. Lauren O'Donnell is a music educator, conductor, and trumpet player native to Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Music Education in 2020 from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in Instrumental Music Education. This is Ms. O'Donnell's 2nd year teaching middle school band, but her teaching experience is diverse and varied, from working with students at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan each summer since 2017 to working with senior citizens in the UArizona New Horizons Band.
Ms. O'Donnell's performance experience includes performing with the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band in 2016, The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016, Flux Indoor Percussion in 2019, and several ensembles at the University of Arizona ranging from jazz band and pep band to orchestra and wind symphony throughout her collegiate career.
Ms. O'Donnell is also an active educator in the marching arts. She has been a visual instructor for Walden Grove High School's marching band and indoor percussion programs since 2017, helping the indoor program to a WGI Finalist finish in 2021. Ms. O'Donnell will also be working with the DCI Open Class group Phenom Drum and Bugle Corps as a visual instructor for the 2022 season.
